Ingredients

2 oz gin
1 sugar cube
juice of half lime
2 dashes orange bitters
3 oz sparking wine
soda to fill

Garnish

orange peel

How to Make It

Dissolve sugar cube in mixing glass with lime juice and orange bitters. Mash into a paste. Add gin and mash. Add ice and stir for 5 seconds. Strain into collins glass and fill with half sparkling wine and half club soda.

Simple Lamb Loin Chops

Flavor packed lamb chops with simple ingredients.

Who: Beautiful Lamb Loin Chops
What: Lamb with garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
When: About 45 minutes, mostly hands-off
Where: Scored some lamb loin chops while at Sam's Club
Why: Wanted something delightful but different. Simple but elegant.

The Move: Marinade for an hour and cook only a few minutes per side. Add fresh squeezed lemon juice about 30 seconds before turning off the heat. Add butter when heat is off. Let sauce thicken while lamb is resting. Serve with Berbere spiced creamer potatoes.
